Target audience
Researchers and staff at the University of Vienna who work with (manuscript) historical documents. The training is aimed at people who have never worked with Transkribus before. Advanced users can arrange individual training sessions at transkribus.ub@univie.ac.at.Goals
- Participants will get to know Transkribus and be able to assess whether and how the software can help them in their work with (handwritten) historical documents.
- Participants will learn the steps involved in processing a document in Transkribus (import, layout recognition and correction, automatic text recognition, export).
- Participants will be aware of the legal issues that need to be considered when working with Transkribus.

Teacher
Victoria Eisenheld
Victoria Eisenheld, BA, studied German and Linguistics and completed the Library and Information Studies programme at the University of Vienna. She works at the Vienna University Library in the Research and Publication Services Department. Her main tasks include training, counselling and supporting users of the PHAIDRA repository.
