Requirements

This multi-day AI workshop is open to all levels of students at University of Vienna who wish to utilize the AI tools available with confidence and integrity.  Join to sharpen your AI skills and learn within a responsible framework to best optimize your research in an increasingly AI driven world.

Target audience

PhD Students and Post Docs

Goals

There are many academics in the hard sciences who understand how to utilize AI and apply it to their studies but there are many untapped tools and techniques that can assist and support the success of Historical and Cultural Studies including Optical Character Recognition, Text Mining and LLMs which many of the students are not familiar with or comfortable using for various reasons. This program aims to introduce not only the tools but refine the methods and provide a solid grounding of ethical and regulatory knowledge so that students can bring their current topics into a new world of efficiency and accuracy.  This program will help raise the University of Vienna early career researchers' standards to meet those of the wider academic community who have already embraced AI.
